Robin’s “Roaring 20’s” Party

On March 28 had a “Roaring 20’s” gig. The client was Robin, and it was in celebration of her 30th Birthday. Everyone who attended dressed in the fashions from the era. I performed traditional songs from the era including, “I Wanna Be Loved By You” (Betty Boop Song) It was a beautiful night with a lot of dancing.

The Year to Date

This has been a busy year for me. I just want to keep you up to date on some of the things that I have been doing. I want to be a good blogger In February of this year I presented a reading from my one-woman show, “170hh Rainbow”, for the Claremont Relay for Life (American Cancer Society). The show tells of my bout with lung. Immediately after my reading I sang “Somewhere Over the Rainbow”, and they released white doves. At a previous Relay for Life event I sang at, Hannah Montana the young star of the Disney show sang on the same bill as me. It was a delight to meet her and her manager. She was very sweet. In May and June I performed at Noho Gallery LA with guitarist Tim Moran. The Noho Gallery is a wonderful art gallery in the Noho district of North Hollywood.

The Love of Music

November 5, 2006 –

Current mood: happy

Category: Music
I love jazz and I love all the instruments. I respect all the instruments. However, the horn really sets the mood for me. I just love the sax. Although, I’m not a big scatter. It’s just that the horn can bring out so many emotions. It adds joy. It can make me happy and sometimes it makes me want to cry. If it were a family—the horn would be the baby. The playful one.
